Treatment is carried out with the client lying on the couch, and will start with a therapeutic foot massage leading on to a technique of applying pressure to the reflex points on the foot. Helping to become more relaxed and improve circulation to all parts of the body and revitalizes energy. Usually a treatment lasts about an hour.

Possible Reactions

Some people may find they feel relaxed and sleepy after a treatment. They may feel tired and need to rest a while. You may experience a term called a ‘Healing Crisis’ reaction involving the body getting rid of toxins. This could increase urination and bowel movements. You could also feel coldness or nausea; these reactions should pass in a few hours or a couple of days.

To gain maximum benefit from your reflexology treatment, try to rest afterwards and drink plenty of water, to flush away toxins.
